As a social justice activist and writer on the topic of Israel/Palestine, I became interested in the lack of Palestinian lives and narratives in children’s literature in 2016 when a Quaker teacher suggested I write a book on Palestine for kids.
The narrative creates a reality for the Palestinian people. For too long the narrative has been controlled by those who did not have their (Palestinian’s) best interests in mind.
