These are desperate times; more and more people worldwide and in the US understand the fact of genocide in Gaza while the US government refuses to change course. It is our responsibility to expose the positions of electeds and make it uncomfortable and costly for every official to support the starvation and destruction of Gaza. They need to hear from you and see you in protests.

Two Democratic senators claim they have reached the “inescapable conclusion” that Israel is acting on a systematic plan to destroy and ethnically cleanse Palestinians from Gaza to force local people to leave, and they say the US is complicit. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland and Jeff Merkley of Oregon, both members of the Senate foreign relations committee, released their findings after returning from a congressional delegation to the Middle East where, they note, the destruction goes beyond bombs and bullets. They say they also found a systematic campaign to strangle humanitarian aid.

Palestine Action: Past BMJ editor arrested at London Gaza protest over signs
British Medical Journal’s former editor-in-chief, Fiona Godlee, was arrested last weekend alongside over a dozen other healthcare workers at a demonstration outside the Houses of Parliament in London while holding a sign reading, “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action.” The protest in Parliament Square on September 6 attracted an estimated crowd of 1500 to demonstrate against the genocide in Gaza, the UK’s continuing supply of arms to Israel, and the government’s proscription of the group Palestine Action as a terrorist organization.
Israeli intelligence data: Militants account for only 1 in 4 Gaza detainees
A classified Israeli army database indicates that the vast majority of the 6,000 Palestinians who have been arrested in Gaza and are being held in Israeli detention are civilians. Testimonies from former Palestinian detainees and Israeli soldiers who served in detention facilities further indicate that Israel has knowingly abducted civilians en masse and held them for long periods in appalling conditions.
End the Genocide in Gaza: A Public Letter from Jewish Health Professionals
As Jewish professionals in medicine, public health, and related fields, we cannot remain silent in the face of a genocide being carried out against the Palestinians in Gaza by the state of Israel. Our tradition and training bind us to the defense of life and dignity. Too many of our colleagues and institutions have yet to dissent while an entire population, half of them children, has been starved, bombed, denied care, and displaced. To be silent is to be complicit.

Israel has committed genocide in the Gaza Strip, UN Commission finds
United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry concluded: Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

1. A First in History: For the first time, a UN body has officially determined that Israel is perpetrating genocide. Gaza now stands alongside Rwanda, Srebrenica, and other atrocities recognized under the Genocide Convention.
2. Binding Legal Obligations: The 1948 Genocide Convention obligates every State to prevent and punish genocide and prohibits complicity. Any government supplying weapons, funds, or political protection is now in breach of international law. Neutrality is no longer possible.
3. The “Never Again” Test: The world vowed “Never Again.” That promise is on trial in Gaza. Will the international community stop the destruction of a people or repeat the failures of Rwanda and Bosnia?
4. Accountability for Leaders: The Commission named Israeli leaders, including the President, Prime Minister, and Defense Minister, as responsible for inciting genocide. This opens the path to prosecution at the International Criminal Court or through national courts under universal jurisdiction.
5. Ending Denial: Genocide is always denied as it happens. The UN’s judgment removes all cover. To deny Gaza’s genocide now is to reject truth and law alike.
Most New Yorkers are not aware companies contributing to the Gaza genocide operate in their backyard, but at least two are housed in the city-operated Brooklyn Navy Yard. Now, activists and local residents are banding together to get them evicted. The campaign Demilitarize Brooklyn Navy Yard (DBNY) organizes weekly noise demos and pickets, demanding the eviction of two companies from the city-owned industrial park on the East River. These companies are Easy Aerial, an autonomous drone manufacturer, and Crye Precision, a tactical gear company. Both make products used by the Israeli military in Gaza.
