The Health Advisory Council is sharing information on the health implications of the genocidal attack on Gaza on day 12 of aerial bombardment. We will update in 3-4 days. Please use this information to write articles, letters to the editor, for calling elected officials, and speaking with your professional organizations, friends and family. Using starvation as a weapon of war constitutes a war crime under Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Convention. Gallant’s order is a crime against humanity under the Rome Statute. It is also a call for genocide, prohibited by the Genocide Convention and the Rome Statute. Call for cease fire and humanitarian relief as first step.
